Physical Therapist Assistant Home Health Job in Augusta, GA

You will deliver rehabilitation services to patients in their homes as a Physical Therapist Assistant with Piedmont Augusta Home Health and Hospice. This position offers a structured schedule with clear expectations and the flexibility of home-based practice.

About the Role

You will work with patients across a variety of diagnoses and conditions, including joint replacement and orthopedic aftercare, CVA, osteoarthritis, diabetes, hypertension, congestive heart failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, dementia, amputation, surgical and non-surgical wounds, cancer, urinary tract infections, and peripheral vascular disease. You will float within your scope of practice as needed to support patient care across the service area.

Schedule and Requirements

• 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts, days rotation
• Every other weekend shift required
• No on-call responsibilities
• 112-day contract starting August 3, 2026

Qualifications

You must hold a current Physical Therapist Assistant credential and have a minimum of 1 year of experience. First-time travelers with home health experience are welcome to apply.

Time Off and Holiday Expectations

You may request a maximum of 7 days of pre-approved time off per contract. All requested time off must be finalized at the time of submission; no schedule requests are accepted after the offer is made or once you are on-site. If one or two major holidays fall within your assignment period, you are expected to work those holidays. If three major holidays fall within the assignment period, you are expected to work two of them. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Black Friday, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

Compensation

Weekly pay is $1,873.
