About this role
Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 84-day travel assignment beginning July 6, 2026. You'll work day shifts between 7:30 AM–4:00 PM or 8:30 AM–5:00 PM on a block scheduling model, with every other weekend required and one weekend per month on call.
About the Role
You'll perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures for adult and geriatric patients, with a focus on PET scanning. Your responsibilities will include conducting bone scans, HIDA scans, gastric emptying studies, pharmacological stress testing, ventilation/perfusion imaging, and renal perfusion studies. You'll also start and maintain IVs, draw venous blood, and manage storage, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials. Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed is expected.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of nuclear medicine experience
- Current CNMT or NMTCB certification (one required)
- PET certification preferred
- Proficiency with Epic and Pyxis systems
- Demonstrated experience with PET scanning; general nuclear medicine experience accepted
- First-time travelers welcome
Assignment Details
This is a 5x8 day shift position with block scheduling. Weekend coverage and holiday coverage are required based on the assignment calendar. You'll complete 16 orientation hours and wear Caribbean Blue scrubs. Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract; all time-off requests must be finalized at submission.
Compensation
Weekly pay is $2,707.20 for the 84-day contract period.
