Respiratory Therapist Job in Macon, GA

Piedmont Macon Medical Center is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 77-week travel assignment in Macon, Georgia. You will work 3×12-hour night shifts and earn $1,814.40 weekly.

About the Role

You will provide respiratory care across all patient age groups—neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Your responsibilities include mechanical ventilation management, intubation, airway management, arterial line insertion, aerosol treatments, BiPAP/CPAP delivery, bronchoscopy support, high-flow nasal cannula therapy, ventilator weaning, and tracheostomy care. You will work with ventilators including Puritan Bennett, Avea, and GE Carescape models.

Key Requirements

• Current RRT credential (CRT not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Critical care skills including intubation and airway management
• Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications
• Georgia state respiratory therapist license
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Community hospital experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred

Scheduling and Expectations

You will work every other weekend with no call responsibilities. You may float within the hospital scope of practice and to Piedmont Macon North Hospital as needed. Major holidays falling during your assignment period must be worked. Maximum requested time off is 7 days per contract.

Assignment Details

Start date: June 22, 2026. All compliance documents must be submitted by the Tuesday prior to your start date. This is a community hospital setting where you will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality respiratory care.
