CVOR RN Job in Florence, SC

Join McLeod Regional Medical Center as a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nurse on a 90-day travel assignment. You will work weekday hours with weekend call as scheduled, averaging six cases per day in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Your Role

• Perform circulating duties with efficiency and speed in open heart surgery and vascular procedures
• Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data analysis
• Prep the operating room for patient and procedure, including positioning and preparation on the operating table
• Complete the Safe Surgery checklist in accordance with service excellence standards
• Delegate, supervise, and evaluate activities of other team members during urgent or emergent situations
• Provide nursing interventions consistent with the Plan of Care and professional standards of practice
• Serve as communication liaison between the operating team and family members
• Record all care information concisely, accurately, and completely in a timely manner
• Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff within or outside the sterile field
• Assist in control and maintenance of supplies and equipment

What We Need

• Current RN license
• Confidence performing in open heart surgery and vascular cases
• Proficiency in computer programs utilized to deliver patient care
• Willingness to participate in assigned call as scheduled
