Respiratory Therapist Job in Saint Louis, MO

Mercy Hospital South in Saint Louis is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment. You'll work the night shift, providing respiratory care across multiple hospital departments including the SICU, CCU, CVICU, ED, Neuro, and trauma units.

Schedule & Compensation

• 3x12 night shift schedule (6:30 PM to 7:00 AM)
• 36 guaranteed weekly hours
• $1,971 weekly pay
• Assignment begins May 1, 2026

Requirements

• Missouri Registered Respiratory Therapist license
• BLS and ACLS certification from AHA (required)
• PALS certification (preferred)
• Minimum 1 year clinical experience
• Adult critical care experience required
• High-volume ED and trauma experience required
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1–April 1

Preferred Skills

• Blood gas draw and processing on GEM equipment
• Blood gas interpretation

Clinical Environment

You'll work with a range of respiratory equipment including Avea ventilators, LTV transport units, V60 Bipap with Bellavista, Vapotrm, and Airvo high-flow systems. The facility uses EPIC for electronic medical records. Patient ratios are determined by a point system and staffing levels. You may float as needed by the facility and may be required for weekend and on-call shifts.

Additional Information

Black scrubs are required. You'll support respiratory patients throughout all hospital areas and work in a high-volume environment with weekend and call requirements as determined by facility needs.
