Job Details:

• 8-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• 40 hours per week offered
• No call requirement
• No weekend requirement
• Float requirement: May float to other Charlotte area ambulatory surgery centers only if needed and rarely (COSC, Ballantyne ASC, Huntersville ASC, and Center City)
• Scheduling based on unit needs
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted if RN can scrub and has strong ENT experience
• Required work setting skills: Ambulatory OR
• Required ENT skills: Endoscopic sinus procedures, laparoscopic assisted cases, laryngectomy, mastoidectomy/tympanoplasty/stapedectomy, radical neck dissection, scrub ENT surgery, septoplasty/rhinoplasty, tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, and tracheostomy
• Required pediatric ENT skills: Myringotomy with tubes, scrub PEDI ENT surgery, and tonsillectomy/adenoids
• Required emergency management skills: Code response, fire safety, latex allergy, and malignant hyperthermia
• Required professional knowledge and skills: Specimen handling/labeling and universal protocol (time out) procedure
• Preferred skills include: Bronchoscopy, ophthalmology procedures (cataract extraction/implant, corneal transplant, eye trauma, glaucoma surgery, vitrectomy), pediatric ophthalmology, electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources/cords, infection control, and laser safety
• Epic charting system experience required
• SBAR communication protocol used
• Scrubs provided
• 40-hour orientation
• Patient age groups: Infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Patient diagnoses include: ENT surgery, cataracts, ocular plastics, and head and neck
• Required certification: BLS
