<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - Med Surg</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM<br>• 36 or 48 weekly guaranteed hours (must be specified on submission)<br>• 13-week assignment length<br>• Weekend hours required every other weekend as needed<br>• No call requirements<br>• Patient ratios: 1:5-6 on days, 1:6-7 on nights (ratios not guaranteed)<br>• May be floated to other units depending on staffing needs<br>• Night shift orientation conducted on day shift - must be available entire week for orientation<br>• 1 year Med Surg inpatient experience required<br>• Current RN license (eligible for Missouri licensure or currently licensed in Missouri)<br>• BLS from AHA required, ACLS from AHA preferred<br>• Black scrubs required, no open-toed shoes<br>• Work with equipment including Nova Meters for blood glucose, Alaris IV pumps, Kangaroo pumps, SCD machines<br>• Use EPIC EMR system<br>• Care for Med/Surg patients post trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities<br>• Utilize nursing process for patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation<br>• Coordinate patient care with ancillary departments<br>• Must be team player willing to provide care to diverse population<br>• Physical demands include standing/walking most of shift, lifting/turning patients with assistance, push/pull up to 50 lbs</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare facility has been a healing presence in the South St. Louis County area for more than 140 years, earning a B grade in The Leapfrog Group&#39;s Fall 2025 Hospital Safety Grade.
