PACU - Post Anesthesia Care

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• 4x10 hour shifts, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Weekend requirements vary based on staffing needs - typically every 5th weekend with weekday coverage, may be every 3rd or 4th weekend
• On-call required 1 time per week plus 1 late shift
• May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; called off hours can be broken down to add up to 1 shift
• 4 years of PACU RN experience required
• First-time travelers will not be accepted
• Travel experience required
• South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Epic charting experience required
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• Care for patients across all age groups including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Provide Phase 1 and Phase 2 (discharge) recovery care
• Perform and assist with procedures including bilateral tubal ligation, carotid endarterectomy, cataract extraction, cholecystectomy, colon surgery, ENT, general surgery, gynecological procedures, hysterectomy, open reduction and internal fixation, orthopedic and total joint procedures, pacemaker insertion, tonsillectomy, TURP, and urology procedures
• Manage dysrhythmia recognition and procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
