About this role

You will provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Oklahoma Children's Hospital OU Health. Your role spans a wide range of patient acuities, from straightforward cases to highly complex presentations requiring advanced intervention.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care to an assigned group of pediatric patients
  • Monitor and document physiological data, patient responses to treatment, and clinical changes
  • Administer medications, manage intravenous infusions and blood products per protocol
  • Assist physicians during examinations and diagnostic procedures
  • Intervene promptly when patient needs arise based on continuous observation
  • Communicate with families and patients about care plans, discharge instructions, and ongoing treatment
  • Coordinate referrals to appropriate specialists and support services
  • Delegate and supervise tasks to support staff

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
  • Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
  • PALS certification from American Heart Association
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer proficiency and ability to meet diverse patient cultural and language needs

Position Details:

This is a three-day-per-week night shift assignment with an 89-day contract beginning April 13, 2026. Your weekly pay is $2,930.40. You will work in a Level 1 facility providing intensive care to the pediatric population.
