Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with options for 6:45 AM, 6:45 PM, 11:00 AM, or 3:00 PM start times
• Specific shift noted as 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Rotate holidays with permanent staff
• Patient ratio of 1 nurse to 4 patients
• Must have 2 years of emergency room experience AND 1 travel contract
• Strict 75-mile radius rule enforced
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS, PALS (AHA), TNCC
• BSN degree not required
• Dress code: Hunter green pants, white top, white jacket
• Work with MEDITECH electronic medical record system
• 3-shift floor-specific orientation provided
• Handle 70 patients per day in 12-bed emergency department with 2 trauma bays
• Treat patients from neonates to geriatrics, from minor walk-ins to trauma cases
• Stabilize trauma patients for air evacuation transport
• Work alongside 1 MD per shift and 2 mid-levels with staggered shifts
• Perform own lab draws and IV insertions
• No floating to other units required
• Cancellation policy: 12 hours every 2 weeks
