Registered Nurse - Operating Room @ MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center

<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - OR</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM<br>• 2 years of operating room experience required<br>• Previous travel experience required<br>• ACLS and BLS certifications required<br>• Cerner charting system experience preferred<br>• On-call required: 3 weeknights and 2 weekends in 6 weeks<br>• Patient ratio of 1:1<br>• Experience in the following specialties is desirable: General, Ortho, Urology, Vascular, Neuro, Robotic, Thoracic, Pulmonary, or Breast/Plastic<br>• Must be comfortable working with adults and geriatric patients<br>• 40-hour orientation provided<br>• Daily census of 38-47 patients<br>• Work in 14 operating rooms with specialized equipment including DaVinci Xi and Ion Robot<br>• Handle diverse surgical procedures including gender reassignment and hybrid procedures<br>• Interdisciplinary support includes interpretation services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This medical center is a comprehensive healthcare facility featuring a state-of-the-art surgical department with 14 operating rooms.
