PICU Registered Nurse Job in Des Moines, IA

Opportunity:

RN - PICU

Job Details:

• Work in a 12-bed, all private-room Pediatric Intensive Care Unit caring for critically ill or injured infants, children, and teens
• Required to float to NICU, General Pediatrics, and ED as helping hands
• When floating to NICU, will be assigned "feeders and growers" patients including babies on oxygen or antibiotics
• Every 4th weekend schedule required
• On-call responsibilities possible but minimal as needed
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
• Minimum 24 months of current PICU/Pediatric Intensive Care experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Experience with ventilators and high flow equipment highly preferred
• Experience with Alaris IV pumps and feeding pumps highly preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA)
• Active Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required
• Skills checklist specific to PICU/Pediatric Intensive Care required
• Professional reference from charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
• Driver's license required
