Surgical Technologist Job in Arroyo Grande, CA

You will work as a Certified Surgical Technologist at Arroyo Grande Community Hospital, a community-based facility with a 7-suite operating room. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning August 10, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $1,872.

Schedule and Shift Details

• 4x10-hour day shifts as your primary schedule
• Variable 8-hour or 10-hour shifts available depending on facility needs
• Call requirement includes one week of nights per month and two twelve-hour weekend call shifts per month
• 30-minute call response time required
• Holiday shifts required

Your Role

• Scrub role with 1:1 or 2:1 patient ratios
• Handle 18–20 cases per day across general, laparoscopic, bariatric, orthopedic, neurological, urological, gynecological, and ENT procedures
• Limited floating to pre-op and post-op areas only
• Sterile processing duties including instrument set assembly and decontamination
• Equipment: Steris and Sterrad systems for sterilization
• Electronic health records system: Cerner

What You Bring

• Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
• Sterile processing certification required (IAHCSMM or CBSPD)
• Current BLS certification
