About this role
Mercy Hospital Springfield is seeking an RN for a 13-week travel assignment in our Electrophysiology Lab. You will work day shifts, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with 36 guaranteed weekly hours and no weekend or on-call requirements.
Role Overview
You will support diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures in our 3-room EP lab environment. Your responsibilities include assisting with EP cases involving device implants and ablations, manipulating angiography equipment, selecting and adjusting exposure factors on digital angiographic systems, and evaluating processed digital images. You will work with cardiovascular patients and collaborate closely with surgeons, interventional radiologists, radiology staff, and OR personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Scrub and assist with electrophysiology procedures requiring sound understanding of anatomical positioning and physiology
- Operate and support digital angiography equipment and interventional equipment
- Manage PACS systems and electronic medical records (EPIC)
- Lift, move, and transport patients as needed
- Prepare and clean all equipment and supplies used in special procedures
- Provide pre- and post-procedure patient care
- Perform routine department duties when procedures are not scheduled
- Float as needed by facility operations
- Recognize and adapt to emergency and stressful situations with effective communication
- Stand for up to six hours wearing lead apron, mask, gown, glasses, and gloves
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license, eligible for or currently licensed in Missouri
- Minimum 1 year of electrophysiology lab experience
- BLS certification from AHA
- Proficiency with digital angiography equipment, interventional equipment, PACS, and computer systems
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS certification from AHA
Scrubs are provided by the facility; you will change into surgical scrubs upon arrival. Assignment begins September 1, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,920.
