PCU Registered Nurse Job in Morgantown, WV

Mon Health Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This is a 13-week travel assignment with the possibility of extension, starting July 6, 2026.

Role and Schedule

• Work 4 twelve-hour night shifts per week
• Patient ratios typically 1:4, with flex to 1:5 during emergencies
• Blocked schedules available for weekend blocks only (Friday-Saturday-Sunday or Saturday-Sunday-Monday)
• Eight hours of orientation provided

Responsibilities

You will provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations with primarily cardiac diagnoses, including post-cardiac surgery and interventional cardiology patients. Your clinical skills will include cardiac telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia management, central line care, chest tube management, IV insulin protocols, cardiac and vasoactive drip management, and wound care.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license (WV or Compact state)
• BLS and ACLS certification through American Heart Association
• Minimum 1.5–2+ years of nursing experience
• One year of Med-Surg or Telemetry experience
• Two years of Step-Down or PCU experience
• Ability to read telemetry strips and perform IV starts
• Proficiency with Cerner charting system

Additional Information

• You must maintain a permanent address more than 100 miles from the facility
• Scrubs are not provided; you must wear burgundy and/or white
• Holiday requests are limited to no more than two of the four major holidays

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,592 for a 13-week assignment.
