CVOR Registered Nurse Job in York, PA

WellSpan York Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse with CVOR expertise to join our surgical team. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 22, 2026, offering competitive compensation and the opportunity to work in a dynamic cardiac surgical environment.

Position Overview

You will work 4x10-hour day shifts with an alternating days-off schedule. Weekly pay is $3,120.77. The role includes 1–2 call days per week with a 30-minute response time, every 3rd or 4th weekend coverage (Friday 4:30 PM through Monday 6:00 AM), and floating as needed. You must be available for holiday coverage, working at least one major holiday. Maximum requested time off is 7 days.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience
• Open heart surgery experience required
• Scrub experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• EPIC electronic health record experience
• EKG exam must be passed within 72 hours of contract signing

Clinical Skills & Competencies

You will demonstrate proficiency in CVOR procedures including atrial septal defect repair, CABG, MAZE procedure, mitral valve replacement, and TAVR. Additional competencies include cell saver operation, blood product administration, infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling, universal protocol compliance, and wound management.

Facility Information

This is a tobacco and fragrance-free facility. A manager interview is required prior to placement. You will complete 5–6 hours of pre-orientation modules before your start date.
