Job Details:

• Day shift with variable hours: 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM or 8:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Weekend coverage required every Saturday and Sunday; third shift on weekends is variable
• On-call required; approximately 1-2 weekends (Friday after work through Monday morning) and 2-4 weekdays per 3-month contract period
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week; OR nurses on 12-hour shifts are scheduled an additional 4 hours to cover breaks and lunches
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Robotic surgical experience is required
• Some trauma experience is required
• Must be proficient with code response, fire safety, malignant hyperthermia, electrosurgical procedures, arthroscopes, and laparoscopes
• Will float within scope to meet facility needs, including other campus locations
• Treats patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Daily census of 30-40 cases across 11 OR rooms
• Nurses and techs are responsible for cleaning and turning over rooms with a 20-minute target
• Charting system: Cerner; EPIC experience preferred
• Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS, BLS
• Navy scrubs required; OR scrubs are provided by the facility
