OR Registered Nurse Job in Anchorage, Alaska

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting September 21, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,507.

Shift and Schedule

• 4x10 day shift with hours either 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM or 8:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Weekend coverage required every Saturday and Sunday; third shift on weekends is variable
• On-call required: approximately 1–2 weekends (Friday after work through Monday morning) and 2–4 weekdays per 3-month contract period
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week

Required Experience and Certifications

• Minimum 2 years of operating room experience
• Robotic surgical experience required
• Some trauma experience required
• Proficiency with code response, fire safety, malignant hyperthermia, electrosurgical procedures, arthroscopes, and laparoscopes
• BCLS, ACLS, and BLS certifications required
• Cerner charting system; EPIC experience preferred

Role Responsibilities

• Float within scope to meet facility needs, including other campus locations
• Care for patients across all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Support daily census of 30–40 surgical cases across 11 operating rooms
• Participate in room cleaning and turnover with a 20-minute target
• Respond to code situations and maintain fire safety protocols

• Charting performed in Cerner with EPIC experience preferred
