Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Day shift position on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Patient ratio of 6 patients per nurse on days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required
• Self-scheduling unit
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Active PA or Compact nursing license required
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Must be willing to float within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed
• Must be available to work every other holiday
• Care for adult patients with medical surgical diagnoses including telemetry monitoring
• Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line blood draw, chest tube management, continuous bladder irrigation, IV insulin protocols, interpretation of dysrhythmias, PICC line management, telemetry and remote monitoring, wound care/wound vac, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• 19-bed unit
