Operating Room RN Job in Odessa, TX

Join Odessa Regional Medical Center as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room. This 91-day travel assignment offers day shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with end times varying based on surgical procedures. You'll work 5 days per week and receive $2,482 in weekly pay. The assignment begins June 15, 2026.

Role Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist physicians during surgical procedures
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in operating room patient care
• Work as a member of the surgical team with surgeons, anesthesiologists, operating room technicians, and other personnel
• Ensure supplies availability and timeliness of surgical cases
• Communicate with patient families and update physician preference cards
• Supervise personnel delivering patient care in the operating room
• Follow State Nurse Practice Act, AORN, and regulatory standards

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of operating room experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• No local candidates will be accepted
