Opportunity:

RN - CVOR Scrub and Circulate

Job Details:

• Work 13-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekend schedule rotated based on departmental need
• On-call requirement of 1-2 call shifts per week and 1-2 weekend call shifts per 6-week schedule (approximately 1 per month)
• Must work one required summer holiday (Memorial Day, 4th of July, or Labor Day) and one winter holiday (Thanksgiving or Christmas) based on department need
• Any time off requested must be added to the end of the contract for a full 13 working weeks
• Must be able to scrub and circulate - will be primarily scrubbing
• 3 to 5 years of recent scrub and circulating nurse experience in complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases required
• Experience required in the following cases: Coronary Artery Bypass (primary and redo's), aortic aneurysms, AVR's and MVR's (primary and redo's), TAVR's, ECMO, and VAD's
• Adult experience required; pediatric experience is a plus
• Must be able to multitask and apply critical thinking skills
• Participation in numerous ongoing research protocols required
• Floating within scope may be required
• Overtime may be necessary
• Epic access required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA required)
• CNOR certification preferred
• Excellent communication skills required; must be a team player and participate in professional department activities
