ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• On-call requirements based on facility needs
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Assess, monitor, and evaluate critically ill adult patients requiring intensive monitoring and advanced medical interventions
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and specialized treatments safely and accurately
• Operate and monitor advanced life-support equipment including ventilators, cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, and CRRT equipment
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to patient status changes
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and ancillary staff to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Respond rapidly to emergency situations including Code Blue events
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge planning when appropriate
• Float to comparable critical care units as needed within competency
• Preferred clinical skills experience with mechanical ventilation, arterial lines, central venous catheters, vasopressor and titratable drips, cardiac monitoring, sepsis management, rapid sequence response, hemodynamic monitoring, sedation and pain management, and critical care documentation
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current RN license in state of practice or compact license required
