Operating Room RN Job in Barstow, CA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at Barstow Community Hospital. This is a travel position with a duration of 84 days, beginning July 6, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• Shift: 5 nights per week, 8-hour shifts
• Monday through Friday work schedule
• Shift start time to be discussed with the Director
• On-call required for nights and weekends
• Weekly pay: $2,765

Your Responsibilities

• Demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning patient care in the operating room
• Work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, OR technicians, and other personnel to provide patient care
• Ensure proper supplies are available and maintain timeliness of surgical cases
• Communicate with patient families and update physician preference cards
• Scrub and assist physicians during surgical cases
• Supervise personnel delivering patient care
• Follow State Nurse Practice Act, AORN, and regulatory standards, as well as physician orders and hospital policies and procedures

Requirements

• Active California RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of operating room experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
