Respiratory Therapist Job in Columbia, SC

Prisma Health Richland Hospital is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a travel assignment in Columbia, SC. You'll work 3x12 night shifts, providing respiratory therapy services to adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients across the facility.

Assignment Details:

• Duration: 91 days
• Start date: May 18, 2026
• Weekly pay: $1,944
• Shift: 3x12 Nights
• Weekend coverage required, typically every other weekend
• Up to 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule for 36-hour contracts; call shifts limited to one per week maximum
• Night shift call coverage from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM only

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory therapy services using advanced equipment including ventilators, ECMO, BiPAP, and bronchoscopy devices
• Perform arterial blood gas draws and interpretation
• Assist with intubations and manage tracheostomy care
• Float to other qualified units as needed based on census requirements

Requirements:

• Current RRT licensure
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
• Community hospital experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions

Onboarding:

• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Complete pre-assignment testing and modules within 48 hours
• Eligible for up to 16 hours of billable time for module completion
