Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join its Nuclear Cardiology department in Rochester, NY. This is an 89-day travel assignment running Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM EST, with some procedures potentially extending to 4:30 PM. There is no on-call or weekend responsibility.

In this role, you will perform advanced nuclear cardiology studies with precision and clinical expertise. Your daily responsibilities include:

• Acquire and process diagnostic images for SPECT, SPECT/CT, and PET/CT studies
• Perform SPECT blood flow studies, cardiac amyloidosis studies, and hybrid SPECT resting studies followed by PET sarcoid or viability studies
• Conduct daily quality control and maintain radio pharmacy operations within NYSDOH guidelines
• Manage and document patient data in the eRecord CUPID system
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care by explaining procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining safety at all times
• Partner with the Director of Nuclear Cardiology and colleagues to implement new technologies and enhance lab protocols
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards

Required Qualifications:

• 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience
• 6 months of Cardiac Imaging experience
• NYS Radiologic Technologist License
• NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification
• ARRT Certification with current CE credits
• BLS Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine from an accredited program
