Med Surg RN Job in Nashville, TN

You'll work as an RN on a 20-bed Neuro Med/Surg unit at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a start date of July 6, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• 3x12 nights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM)
• 2 weekends (4 shifts) required per 4-week schedule
• $1,918.44 weekly pay

Role Details

You'll care for patients with a 6:1 ratio on a floor equipped with IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse ox machines, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, and bladder scanners. iMobile communication technology supports unit coordination. Tech support is available on both day and night shifts. Unit secretaries staff the floor from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Your responsibilities include documenting patient care in Meditech, conducting bedside shift reports that engage patients and family members in the plan of care, starting IVs, performing basic wound care, and maintaining surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes. You'll multitask and prioritize care across your assignment.

Requirements

• Active RN license
• BLS certification
• Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Ability to start IVs, perform wound care, and manage drains and tubes
• Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms) required

Contract labor floats by rotation when multiple contract staff are scheduled. You'll work alongside a supportive team and provide attentive, compassionate care to patients and their families.
