ICU RN Job in Kealakekua, HI

Kona Community Hospital is seeking an RN for its 9-bed ICU. You'll work 3x12 rotating shifts (day or night) on a schedule of 72 hours every two weeks. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting August 13, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,822.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in the ICU with a standard ratio of 2 patients to 1 nurse; 1:1 care as indicated by acuity
• Accommodate occasional Med/Surg overflow, which may increase your ratio to 3–4 patients per nurse
• Care for adult ICU patients as your primary focus, with exposure to occasional stable pediatric patients
• Float to other departments to assist as needed (you will not be required to assume a full patient team when floating)
• Assume charge nurse duties when assigned, for which you receive an additional $2.00 per hour
• Work within a minimum staffing model of three nurses per shift

Requirements:

• Current RN license
• PALS certification required
• Experience working with pediatric patients (unstable pediatric patients are transferred to higher levels of care)
