Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician / Radiology

Job Details:

• Work 10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Must remain past 5:00 PM until all cases are seen and finished for the day
• Weekend and on-call availability required
• Full-time position
• Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced nuclear medicine imaging procedures
• Provide support for other imaging technologists as needed to facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow
• Demonstrate flexibility by working other shifts and/or at other campuses as needed or required
• Troubleshoot basic equipment maintenance, participate in quality assurance, and resolve issues related to image processing and image archiving systems
• Ensure completed exams are scanned and stored correctly in PACS; ability to follow PACS downtime procedures as a PACS Superuser
• Observe radiation, personnel, and patient safety measures while maintaining radiation safety protocol when handling radionuclides and pharmaceuticals
• Complete daily logs and periodic tests as required by license
• Participate in ongoing education, safety, and technical advances within scope of licensure
• Adapt patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate the unique needs of each patient served
• Maintain appropriate behavior, dress, attitude, attendance, confidentiality, professionalism, and reliability
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or approved equivalent required
• 1 year of experience in a clinical nuclear medicine setting preferred
• Basic computer experience required
• Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) certification by ARRT or NMTCB required
• Texas state licensure (MRT by TMBB) required
• BLS certification (AHA only) required
