Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work in a Med Tele unit with post cath and cardiac drip patients
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with a 6:1 patient ratio on days, nights, and weekends
• Manage patients with diagnoses including chest pain, CAD, PVD, arrhythmias, DM, COPD exacerbation, HTN, MI, renal failure, PE, CHF, GI bleed, syncope, and COVID+
• Perform pre and post cath lab care, PPM/AICD management, ablations, post-op CABG, post-op thoracotomy, and vascular surgeries
• Manage cardiac drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Nitroglycerin, Dopamine, and Heparin with titration responsibilities
• Operate and manage special equipment including telemetry monitoring, chest tubes, PCAs, epidurals, and wound vacs
• Utilize Epic charting system
• Potential for med-surg overflow including GI bleed, sepsis, CVA, and COVID+ patients
• May be pulled to other inpatient units as agency staff are first pulled for floating
• Every other holiday required
• Weekend coverage required
• 2 years of acute care experience required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, NIHSS
• Telemetry experience and ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias required
• Compact or Louisiana license required
• Must reside more than 65 miles from facility address
