ICU RN Job in Sioux City, IA

You will work as a registered nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at UnityPoint - St. Luke's Downtown in Sioux City, Iowa. This is a temporary assignment with a 91-day duration, starting June 22, 2026.

Your Role

You will be part of an interdisciplinary team providing clinical knowledge and skills in patient care management. You will care for cardiac, trauma, and neuro patients in a fast-paced ICU environment. You may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed.

Schedule and Compensation

You will work 3 twelve-hour shifts during day hours. The schedule includes every third weekend. Your weekly pay is $2,332.80. When applicable, you will receive a $6 per hour differential for charge or precepting duties.

Requirements

• Current Iowa nursing license (compact license accepted)
• At least 2 years of previous nursing experience (first-time travelers are welcome)
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, and CPI certifications required
• TNCC certification preferred; required if extending your assignment
• EPIC EMR system experience required

Additional Information

You will have a 16-hour nights, bends, and other (NBO) requirement during your assignment. You will need to be comfortable working in a dynamic ICU setting with complex patient populations and be ready to adapt to the facility's protocols and workflows.
