Registered Nurse - ICU @ Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital

<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - ICU</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM<br>• Float to all ICU, PCU, and MS units as needed - must be comfortable working all three specialties<br>• Staffing needs re-evaluated every 4 hours, potential to float 2-3 times per shift<br>• Patient ratios: ICU 2:1, PCU 5:1, MS 6:1 (may flex up to 7:1)<br>• Weekend requirement: May be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in 6-week scheduling block<br>• Holiday requirement: Must work one holiday per 13-week contract<br>• EPIC charting experience required<br>• 24 hours of orientation provided<br>• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS<br>• 2+ years ICU experience from Large L1/L2 facility required<br>• Must be skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, PICC line management, central line care, arterial line management, blood product administration<br>• Experience with trach management, ventilator management, chest tubes, cardiac monitoring, continuous IV sedation<br>• Proficient in titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, emergency medications<br>• Must be comfortable working with minimal CNA support<br>• One MS unit (Inpatient Rehab) located at Community Hospital a couple blocks from main hospital</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This 703-bed acute care teaching hospital serves as the flagship facility of a major healthcare system and is the region&#39;s only Level I Trauma Center for both adults and pediatrics.
