Interventional Radiology Technologist Job in Rochester, NY

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is recruiting an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a travel assignment at URMC Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York. This 89-day contract begins April 27, 2026.

Position Overview

You will work four 10-hour shifts on the day schedule, supporting the Interventional Radiology and Neuroradiology departments. You'll assist radiologists during interventional procedures, operate advanced imaging equipment, and deliver diagnostic-quality radiologic images. Weekend and holiday coverage, on-call, and callback responsibilities are required based on unit needs, with a call schedule typically involving 1–2 times per week and 1–2 weekends per month.

Key Responsibilities

• Select appropriate exposure factors and positioning techniques for radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures
• Operate x-ray equipment, CR, and DR systems proficiently
• Assist radiologists during interventional procedures
• Instruct and prepare patients for radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations
• Administer oral contrast as needed
• Produce diagnostic-quality radiologic images consistently and complete procedures in a timely manner
• Use Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS effectively
• Maintain medication security protocols and patient confidentiality
• Provide healthcare services to patients of all age groups and answer technical inquiries from physicians
• Assist with departmental tasks as needed

Required Qualifications

• Allied Health Professional degree
• Two years of Interventional Radiology experience with neurosurgery or neuroscience background
• New York State licensing
• BLS certification from American Heart Association
• AART certification

Preferred Qualifications

• VIR experience
