MRI Technologist Job in Des Moines, IA

UnityPoint—Iowa Methodist Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment in Des Moines, IA. You'll work day shifts with variable weekend scheduling and earn $2,727 weekly.

About the Role

You'll operate Siemens and GE MRI equipment, performing imaging on a diverse patient population including emergency department, inpatient, and outpatient cases. Your responsibilities include administering power injection contrast injections and adhering to MRI-specific safety protocols and imaging standards.

Schedule & Expectations

• Day shifts with variable weekend assignments
• On-call requirements: one weeknight (Sunday–Thursday) and one weekend day every 10th weekend
• Guaranteed 36–40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours
• May be required to float across all campuses
• Charcoal gray scrubs required

Qualifications

• Minimum 24 months of MRI experience
• ARMRIT certificate or ARRT/American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certificate (R)(MR) required
• Strong proficiency with Siemens MRI equipment required
• Strong proficiency with GE MRI equipment highly preferred
• Valid driver's license required
• EPIC or EPIC Radiant experience highly preferred
• Level I or Level II trauma experience highly preferred
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
• Travel experience preferred
