Ultrasound Technologist Job in Griffin, GA

Spalding Medical Center is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for a 10-week evening shift assignment in Griffin, Georgia. You will work Monday through Thursday from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, earning $2,072 weekly with no on-call or weekend requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing a wide variety of ultrasound procedures with independent judgment and initiative
• Setting up equipment and positioning patients for imaging procedures
• Verifying clinician orders and obtaining complete clinical history from patients
• Reviewing ultrasound images to ensure clinically acceptable results
• Maintaining equipment calibration and quality control logs
• Transporting and positioning patients on procedure tables
• Responding to emergency situations and assisting other technologists as needed
• Demonstrating flexibility with work hours to meet department needs

Required qualifications:

• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ARDMS (Registered Medical Sonographer) or ARRT-S (ARRT Sonography) certification
• Minimum 1 year of clinical ultrasound experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
• Competency in all aspects of ultrasound, patient positioning, and exposure factors

A Trade School Diploma or degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography is preferred. You must be able to demonstrate excellence in independent work and have strong communication abilities to function effectively in an evening clinical environment.
