<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - ICU Float Pool</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM<br>• Float between multiple units including ICU, MedSurg Tele, and PCU across both campuses<br>• May include inpatients holding in ED<br>• Every other weekend requirement<br>• Holiday requirements include travelers in permanent staff rotation<br>• Nurse to patient ratios: PCU 1:4, MedSurg Tele 1:5-6<br>• Must pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts with 80% score prior to signing contract<br>• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS<br>• Must have at least 1 year of ICU experience<br>• Must be comfortable titrating drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin<br>• Must be able to interpret telemetry strips<br>• Common patient types include geriatric patients, orthopedic patients, post-procedural cardiac patients, post MI, post cardiac catheterization, and CABG post-op day 3-4<br>• Unit assignments communicated via text message 2 hours prior to shift start<br>• Standby requirement possible when excessive staffing occurs<br>• Scrub color requirement: solid color professional scrubs (changing to Navy scrubs in October)<br>• 32-hour orientation includes 8-hour general hospital orientation, 12-hour shift at West MedTele, and 12-hour shift at PCU<br>• Charting system: Cerner<br>• Schedule published 6 weeks out for 4 weeks at a time<br>• Night shift may accommodate block scheduling requests<br>• Cancellation policy: 4 shifts per contract (3 shifts if contract under 13 weeks)</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This regional medical center operates across two campuses providing comprehensive acute care services.
