ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - SICU

Job Details:

• Block scheduling type
• Every 3rd weekend requirement
• Floating required if no need on the unit
• 2 years of experience required
• First time travelers accepted
• PA or Compact license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS; TNCC preferred
• Charting system: EPIC
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Patient age groups: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Patient diagnoses include: Neurosurgery, Vascular surgery, Thoracic surgery, Orthopedic interventions, Liver Transplants, Level 1 Trauma, MVA, Falls, Gunshot Wounds, and Open Abdomens
• Special procedures include: Mechanical Ventilation, Tracheostomy and PEG, CRRT, A-Line insertion, Chest tube insertion, Central Line insertion, and Dialysis catheter insertion
• Special equipment includes: Dialysis machines (CRRT), FloTrac (Vigileo), Rapid Infusor, Blood warming infusor, ICU bedside patient monitoring, Arctic Sun (temperature management), CVP Monitoring, Ultrasound machine, ICP monitors, and EVDs
• Required skills include: Accessing/Managing Ports, Arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, Blood Product Administration, Care of Ventilated Patient, Central line care/management, CVVHD/CRRT, External ventricular drain (EVD), ICP monitoring, Liver transplant management, Post Neurosurgery management, Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, Titrate Vasoactive drips, Traumatic Brain Injury management, and Ventilator Management among others
