Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job in Bloomington, IN

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 6, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,836.

Shift Details

• 4x10 hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• On-call required approximately one evening per week and every fourth weekend with a 30-minute response time
• STEMI call required
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Floating within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Electrophysiology (EP) experience strongly preferred
• Cerner charting system experience preferred

Your Responsibilities

You will perform and assist with a wide range of cardiac and interventional procedures including left and right heart catheterizations, ablations, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, and pacemaker insertion. You will assist with implant procedures for ICDs and permanent pacemakers (PPM), as well as structural heart procedures including TAVR and left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO). You will also support interventional radiology and peripheral vascular procedures including ports, drains, biopsies, central lines, thrombectomy, PCI, and dialysis access.

Pre- and post-procedure area responsibilities include bedside TEEs and cardioversions. You will administer and monitor procedural sedation. You will work with specialized equipment including IABP, IVUS, temporary pacers, Shockwave, Crosser, Laser, Angiojet, Siemens labs, and Abbott & Carto mapping systems for EP procedures.

You will care for adults and geriatric patients. Interdisciplinary support is available through IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams.
