Opportunity:

PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant Rehab Acute Care

Job Details:

• 5x8 day shifts, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• Manager may adjust schedule to Wednesday through Sunday or Tuesday through Saturday with same hours if preferred
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week
• No weekend requirement if Monday through Friday schedule is selected
• No float requirement
• No on-call requirement
• Treatment ratio of 16 units per day
• Work with adult and geriatric patient population in an acute care setting
• Follow Physical Therapist's Plan of Care
• 1 year minimum experience required
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers with strong specialty experience may be considered
• Acute care hospital experience required
• Required certification: BLS
• Required skills: Home exercise programs, lifting and transfer, patient and family education, safety and injury prevention, and billing
• Required equipment experience: Bed alarms, call lights, crutches, gait belt, hospital bed, rolling walker, and sit-to-stand lift
• Preferred equipment experience: Hoyer lift, lower extremity prosthetics, sliding boards, soft/hard collars, specialty beds, and supplemental O2
• Required assessment experience: AROM/AAROM/PROM, arousal and attention, assistive devices, body mechanics, identifying environmental barriers, pain assessments, sensory response, strength testing, and vital signs
• Charting system: Cerner
• Scrub color: Anything except Royal Blue, Maroon, or Forest Green
• Parking garage is free for travelers
