X-Ray Technician Job in Charleston, SC

You will work as an X-Ray Technician in the Radiology and Cardiology departments at MUSC Health – Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting June 15, 2026.

Schedule and Shift Details

• Work 3x12 hour shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• First week may include weekday orientation shifts before your weekend schedule begins
• On-call rotation required with a 1-hour response time: Monday–Friday 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, weekends 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed hours; facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Weekly pay: $1,814.40

Your Responsibilities

• Float to other pediatric imaging locations and campus buildings for critical staffing coverage as needed
• Perform portable imaging, fluoroscopy, operating room coverage, and emergency department imaging
• Work with neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults
• Operate Siemens diagnostic equipment and C-arms
• Use Epic charting system

Required Qualifications

• Allied Health Professional degree or equivalent credential
• Minimum 1 year of experience
• Current ARRT, BLS, and SCRQSA (R) certifications
• Dedicated pediatric experience
• Operating room and C-arm experience
• South Carolina license in hand prior to start date

Preferred Qualifications

• O-arm experience (training provided)
• Trauma experience

Additional Information

• Scrub color: Teal top with black bottoms
• Provide your own radiation badge (agency responsibility)
• 8 hours of orientation required
• Additional training available for C-arm and O-arm procedures
• Hurricane season assignment to emergency response teams may be required June through November
