OB Technician

Opportunity:

OB Tech - L&D Tech

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM on a rotating basis
• Day shift option available working 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Required to work 2 Fridays and 4 Saturdays/Sundays per month
• On-call required during weekdays; no weekend call
• Every other holiday required
• No floating required
• Acute care setting
• Must have experience completing complicated and uncomplicated C-sections
• Scrub experience required
• Certification from NBSTSA or NCCT preferred but not required
• Required certification: BLS (AHA)
• Common cases include C-sections, D&C, cerclage placement, and C-hysterectomy
• Average of 3 scheduled cases per day with additional unscheduled urgent and non-urgent C-sections
• Will assist with stocking of patient rooms when not in the OR
• Some processing of surgical instrumentation required
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• Charting system: EPIC
• Hospital-issued scrubs provided
• BSN not required
