OR Registered Nurse Job in Wausau, WI

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Operating Room. This 13-week contract assignment offers 40 guaranteed hours per week at $2,783.20 weekly pay, beginning June 8, 2026.

Shift Details:

• 5x8 variable day shifts: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, or 11:00 AM–7:30 PM
• On-call responsibilities: 6–8 weeknights and 1–2 weekends with 30-minute response time
• Must be ready and in the OR within 30 minutes when called; call minimum is 2 hours
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours

Role Responsibilities:

• Circulating required; scrubbing preferred
• Support 21 operating rooms handling 40–60 cases daily (average 45)
• Work across general surgery, GYN, urology, plastics, ENT, and GI procedures
• DaVinci Robotic procedure experience required
• Perform downtime tasks as needed
• Potential float to Aspirus Merrill, Aspirus Langlade, Aspirus Medford, and Aspirus Stanley

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years OR experience with at least 1 travel assignment
• Experience in larger facility with 20+ operating rooms
• Trauma Level II facility experience required
• Current Wisconsin RN License
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• Associate degree or certificate in nursing (bachelor's degree preferred)
• Own vehicle for on-call responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Epic charting system experience

• Must comply with flu season mask policy if unvaccinated
