ICU Registered Nurse Job in Cartersville, GA

Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for a critical care float pool position. You will work 3x12 night shifts on an every-other-weekend schedule with no call responsibilities.

Position Details:

• Float pool assignment throughout the facility, including the Emergency Department
• 2:1 patient ratio on days, nights, and weekends
• 70-week duration, starting June 29, 2026
• Weekly pay: $1,918.08
• Maximum 7 days RTO per contract with all requests finalized at submission

Requirements:

• Georgia or Compact nursing license at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic charting system

Essential Skills:

• Arterial line management
• BiPAP/CPAP management
• Care of ventilated patients
• Central line care and management
• Isolation precautions and PPE compliance
• Dysrhythmia management
• IV starts and maintenance
• ETT and NT suctioning
• Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips

Additional Information:

• Unit accepts first-time travelers
• No block schedule requests accepted
• Must float within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Holiday work requirements: work one major holiday if one falls during assignment; work both if two fall during assignment; work two of three if three fall during assignment
• Full compliance required to start on time with all documents due Tuesday prior to start date
