Electrophysiology Technician Job in Baton Rouge, LA

Ochsner Medical Center – Baton Rouge is seeking an Electrophysiology Technician to join its cardiology team. You'll work 5 days per week on day shifts, with on-call responsibilities up to 3 times per week on a rotating weekday and every-other-weekend schedule. You must reside within 30 minutes of the facility to respond to on-call shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support electrophysiology and cardiac catheterization procedures with an average daily census of 6 patients
• Perform peripheral and EP procedures independently and expertly
• Execute all coronary care lab (CCL) procedures to established standards
• Assist with embolization, coiling, ablations, and implant procedures including pacemakers, ICDs, and ports
• Operate advanced devices: Impella, IABP, IVUS, Shockwave, Rotoblator, laser, and thrombectomy systems
• Participate in STEMI care with focus on first-to-balloon (FTB) and door-to-balloon (DTB) times under 60 minutes
• Document procedures using Epic charting system
• Collaborate as a team member with a patient-first approach

Required Qualifications:

• Allied Health Professional credential
• Minimum 2 years of catheterization lab experience (no first-time travelers)
• Documented travel healthcare experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• ARRT(R), CCI, and RCIS credentials
• Louisiana state radiology technologist license (LSRTBE)
• Proficiency in Epic electronic health record system

Preferred Qualifications:

• Community hospital experience

This 91-day assignment begins September 8, 2026, with weekly compensation of $2,981. You'll work in a facility-based setting with established protocols and opportunities to expand your expertise in advanced cardiac interventions.
