<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - Med Surg Tele</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 12-hour shifts with guaranteed 36 hours per week (three 12-hour shifts)<br>• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 for days and 1:5-6 for nights, 1:5 on weekends<br>• Weekend requirement: 2 shifts every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday for day shift, Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday for night shift)<br>• Float within scope to meet facility needs as needed<br>• Work with medical/surgical/oncology patient population including adults only<br>• Daily census of 19 patients in a 28-room unit with two Comfort Care Suites for end-of-life patients<br>• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS, Fire safety<br>• EPIC charting experience required<br>• 2 years of nursing experience required<br>• First-time travelers accepted<br>• Required skills: Accessing/Managing Ports, Administration of chemotherapy, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Monitoring Chemotherapy, MS/Tele, PCA, Starting and maintaining IVs, Telemetry Oncology, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams<br>• Navy scrubs required<br>• No on-call responsibilities<br>• 38 hours of orientation provided<br>• Interdisciplinary support includes unit secretary<br>• No local candidates accepted within 75-mile radius<br>• Pending licenses accepted</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This acute care hospital features 233 total staffed beds and operates a comprehensive medical-oncology unit specializing in cancer care and medical-surgical services.
