Perfusionist Job in Nashville, TN

Vanderbilt University Medical Center seeks a Perfusionist for a 182-day travel assignment beginning October 26, 2026. You will work 5 days per week on 8-hour day shifts with a 6:30 AM start time, Monday through Friday, and participate in a 6-tier call system for nights and weekends coverage.

Your responsibilities include:

• Manage perfusion support for cardiac cases ranging from routine CABG and valve procedures to complex aortic dissections, adult congenital cases, and minimally invasive procedures
• Provide perfusion services for cardiac, thoracic, and liver transplant cases
• Operate as the in-house 24/7 ECMO coverage specialist, responding to cannulations, decannulations, circuit manipulations, CT transports, and physical therapy sessions
• Support TAVR and LLE procedures in the catheterization lab and electrophysiology lab
• Cover mechanical thrombectomy cases
• Provide standby perfusion coverage for combined vascular cases as needed
• Support HIPEC procedures
• Conduct ECMO transports from outside hospitals and manage transports for NRP, liver, lung, and heart transplants
• Operate point-of-care devices

Required qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of perfusion experience with at least 1 year recent experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility
• ABCP—American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion Certification
• Tennessee Clinical Perfusionist License
• BLS certification
• High school diploma or college degree

Prior travel experience is preferred but not required. No float pool duties. Weekly pay is $6,330.
