Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 40-60 hours of call required in a 6-week schedule
• Holiday coverage required - must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Minimum 3 years of experience required
• Liver transplant experience required - hard stop requirement
• Must be able to scrub liver recipient transplants independently
• Required certifications: BCLS and NBSTSA
• 40 hours of orientation provided
• Will float to general OR and possibly to Riley Hospital as needed
• May float to pediatric transplant cases (pediatric experience preferred but not required)
• Must have experience with large open belly cases, general surgery, urology, thoracic, gynecology, plastics, Whipple procedures, liver resection, and free flap procedures
• Daily average surgical case volume of 35 cases
• Work with 22-23 operating rooms
• Special equipment includes DaVinci XI surgical system
• Must demonstrate aseptic technique and knowledge of sterilization processes
• Preferred experience with Cerner charting system
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Must handle adult and geriatric patient populations
