PCU Registered Nurse Job in Anniston, AL

RMC Anniston is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This is a 56-week travel assignment beginning July 27, 2026.

Position Details

• Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit
• Shift: 4x12 Days with every other weekend schedule
• Patient ratios: 1:5
• Weekly pay: $2,592

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in the PCU, with float assignments to Med-Surg and Telemetry units as needed. Your responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, emergency response, IV insertion, and management of Heparin protocols. You will manage cardiac drips (no titration required), interpret and manage dysrhythmias, perform central and peripheral line care, administer blood products, and provide non-invasive airway management and oxygen therapy. You will collaborate with Rapid Response and Code teams and maintain isolation precautions using appropriate PPE.

Requirements

• Current Alabama nursing license
• 2 years of clinical experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Active ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Demonstrated competency in telemetry, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Proficiency with central line, peripheral line, and blood product administration
• Experience with electronic charting systems
• Strong communication and emergency response skills
