Occupational Therapist Job in Highlands, NC

Join Highlands-Cashiers Hospital as a travel Occupational Therapist on a 91-day assignment. You will work Sunday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, providing occupational therapy services across acute care and the Eckerd Living Center.

Your Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services in patient rooms, hallways, outdoor areas, and the rehab gym
• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and establish individualized plans of care
• Participate in rounds and care conferences as needed
• Float between acute and swing beds, the nursing home, and outpatient services based on patient needs
• Communicate regularly with the rehab team regarding patient progress and discharge planning
• Support the hospital's stroke certification initiative, with focus on swing bed patients
• Access both hospital and nursing home gym facilities for patient treatment

What You'll Need:

• Current CPR certification and North Carolina Occupational Therapy license
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a medical setting (preferred)
• Demonstrated experience in hospital and/or nursing home settings (required)
• Proficiency with Cerner and NetHealth documentation systems
• Ability to work in business casual attire or scrubs

You will work 40 hours per week. Your schedule will be reviewed during an interview with the rehab manager to ensure alignment with operational needs.
