RN - SICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced 15-bed Surgical/Trauma ICU
• 13-week assignment with 36 or 48 hours available per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday schedule
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed
• Maintain 1:2 nurse to patient ratios with changes based on patient acuity
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and TNCC
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must adhere to facility float policy as needed
• Virginia license accepted pending but must be in-hand Wednesday before start date
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Up to 40 hours of requested time off guaranteed per contract
• Memorial Day weekend time off cannot be approved
• BSN preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Manage post-operative patients from emergency or complex surgical procedures
• Provide care for trauma patients with multisystem injuries
• Work with specialized equipment including Rapid Infuser, CRRT, Camino, NICOM, and blood warmer
• Skills include arterial line management, ventilated patient care, central line management, ICP monitoring, and vasoactive drip titration
