Respiratory Therapist NICU Job in Grand Forks, ND

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week contract assignment in the NICU at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. You will work 3x12 rotating shifts, starting March 23, 2026, at $2,759.40 weekly.

About the Role

You will provide specialized respiratory care to neonatal patients, performing and documenting patient evaluations and assessments. Your responsibilities include delivering diagnostic and therapeutic treatments, assisting physicians, and educating patients and families according to their specific needs. You will monitor patients closely, identify significant changes in condition, and take appropriate action. Pain assessments will be completed according to standard operating procedures.

You will maintain respiratory equipment through cleaning, assembly, and preventative maintenance. Documentation duties include order entry, EMR charting, medication charting, and incident reports. You will also be responsible for transporting infants to and from referral health systems as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in NICU respiratory therapy
• Recent travel experience required; preference for 3 completed assignments
• Current North Dakota Respiratory Therapist license
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• PALS (AHA)
• NRP (RQI Partners)
• New graduates must obtain registry from National Board for Respiratory Care within 12 months (RRT)
