ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU Neuro

Job Details:

• 2 years of nursing experience required with at least 1 year of Neuro ICU experience
• Patient ratio of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
• Every other weekend requirement with 4 weekend shifts per month (Saturday/Sunday X2)
• May float to ED, Step Down Unit, or Central Monitoring Department
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: CA RN License, ACLS, BLS, NIH, and TNCC (preferred)
• All certifications must be AHA and in hand at time of submittal
• Travel experience required with 50-mile travel requirement
• Care for adult and geriatric patients in 24-bed ICU with daily census of 18-22 patients
• Primary focus on Level II Trauma ICU and Neuro/Stroke ICU patients
• Manage post thrombectomy and TNK patients requiring detailed neuro checks
• Handle post procedural/surgical trauma patients and medical surgical level care
• Work with specialized equipment including EVD management, ICP monitoring, massive blood transfusion protocols, and post cardiac arrest cooling protocols
• Support interdisciplinary team including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Rapid Response Teams
• Complete orientation modules through e-learning (1-5 hours average)
• 7-year work history verification required
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
